The Afters is presented to you by two live music connoisseurs living in Bushwick, Brooklyn exploring live events across Manhattan and the greater Brooklyn area. With our show, we aim to not only promote live music currently happening near us but also uplift a variety of genres that intersect in unique and interesting ways, whether through production or proximity in venues. The Afters is a celebration of the joy that live music brings us and the energy it gives New Yorkers throughout the city.
About Kai Koren
Kai Koren (she/her) is a performance and video artist from West Palm Beach, FL and based in Brooklyn, NY. Growing up singing jazz standards, her love of the arts brought her to Marymount Manhattan College, graduating with a BFA in Acting/Film and Media Production. Her passion comes from the energy and catharsis that live production and performance brings, and recognizes how lucky she is to be in the best city in the world for live music, which her job as a videographer allowed her to experience.
About Nicole Dees
Nicole Dees (she/her) was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico and moved to New York to study Film and Creative Writing at Marymount Manhattan College. Living in Bushwick, she has grown a love and passion for the local music scene and the community that surrounds it. Nicole currently works for the Santa Fe International Film Festival as a video editor and loves attending shows and exploring new media art in her free time.
