Dating Café

Dating Café is a talk radio show that features dating stories and discussion, designed to help young singles navigate the complex world of meeting IRL in this age of social media and dating apps. Various segments, music and comedy will be the conduit for encouraging people to get off their phones and into the real world. Brooklyn bartenders, café owners and chefs will be guests each week to add to the café aspect of Dating Café, thereby providing incentive for New Yorkers to tune in live and find out about happenings in Brooklyn, that listeners can attend. There may even be an opportunity to meet singles that are featured on the show and place the face with the voice, if one is so inclined.
Call-ins with dating advice questions for host and dating expert, Nancy Slotnick, are also welcome.
About Nancy Slotnick
Nancy Slotnick is the founder of the original "dating-café", Drip, that was on the Upper West Side of Manhattan way back before dating apps were a thing. At the time, Nancy was single and necessity was the mother of invention. Since then, she has written a book of dating advice, built a practice as dating coach for women, worked in Hospitality (B2B Sales) and been deemed a dating expert by Oprah. (Google her name and Oprah and you'll see.). Nancy holds a Bachelor's degree from Harvard in psychological anthropology, and has been researching the current loneliness crisis as well as the role of the Third Place in community-building.
Nancy is now working on a stealth startup that marries the convenience of dating apps with the serendipity of hospitality venues. She believes that dating should be fun, and it doesn't have to cost money. You can meet someone in the parks, public space, the transit system or on the streets of New York City.
