Meet Me in the Basement

This is an ode to post-punk… whatever that means.

A homage to Lizzy Goodman’s oral history Meet Me in the Bathroom, "Meet Me in the Basement" celebrates the cultural milieu that is post-punk, but takes it one level deeper.

This is a love letter to the movement and everything that came after: new wave, dark wave, industrial, cold wave, gothic rock, noise pop, shoegaze, dance punk, synth wave… the works.

Sprinkled with some historical commentary and stories, this hour will take you to the basements of the Lower East Side in the early 2000s, the experimental heart of Berlin, and abandoned studios in the UK’s 70’s - where it all began.
